Strengthening National Vaccination: Kimia Farma and Pfizer Partnership

PT Kimia Farma Diagnostika, known for its integrated healthcare services approach, announced the signing of a strategic partnership with PT Pfizer Indonesia. This initiative is part of efforts to strengthen the national vaccination program aimed at improving public health. Through this collaboration, both companies aim to educate the public about the importance of pneumonia vaccination, viewing it as a long-term health investment both clinically and economically. Pneumonia remains a leading cause of death and hospitalization in Indonesia, with a particularly high risk during religious rituals such as Hajj and Umrah due to high density, physical fatigue, and environmental exposure. Although pneumonia vaccination is not currently mandatory, the companies see it as an additional protective measure. This collaboration reflects the commitment of both companies to improve healthcare access and quality.
