Indonesia and China Strengthen Cooperation, Sign Investment Agreement of IDR 36.4 Trillion
Indonesia continues to actively develop strategic cooperation with global partners, aiming for an economic growth target of 8% by 2029. A significant step in this direction is deepening ties with China through the Two Countries Twin Parks (TCTP) initiative. This project focuses on creating interlinked industrial zones in both countries. Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, highlighted the importance of this cooperation for accelerating investment inflows and strengthening the country’s economic resilience. During the China–Indonesia Economic and Trade Exchange and TCTP Matchmaking Conference, 16 Memorandums of Understanding were signed, totaling IDR 36.4 trillion. These projects will cover various strategic sectors and will commence in 2026, underscoring the commitment of both countries to deepen economic collaboration. There was also a discussion about potentially expanding the TCTP project to other regions of Indonesia, such as Bintan Island.
