Indonesian Law Enforcement Halts Illegal Goods Entry from Malaysia

A significant event in the fight against illegal imports into Indonesia saw the synergy of Indonesian law enforcement successfully thwart an attempt to smuggle branded accessories from Tawau, Malaysia. The operation took place at the Jamaker pier in Nunukan district, showcasing integrated efforts to battle illegal trade. The joint team, comprising various law enforcement representatives including KPPBC, Lanal Nunukan, and Satgas Pamtas, was tasked with inspecting a ship docked on Saturday. As a result, boxes containing accessories such as bags and shoes, without necessary documentation, were discovered. All products were confiscated, and their owners will undergo the legal process. The effort was highly praised by a Kodam VI/Mulawarman representative, who emphasized the importance of border protection and the prevention of economic crimes.
