BGN Temporarily Suspends 10 SPPG Due to Food Poisoning Incidents

The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has decided to temporarily suspend ten units of the Nutritional Fulfillment Service (SPPG) following incidents of food poisoning related to the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG). BGN Head, Dadan Hindayana, explained that this decision is aimed at maintaining service quality and recipient safety. SPPGs that violated standards are not allowed to continue operations until comprehensive improvements are made. BGN emphasized the need for strict hygiene standards, as incidents stemmed from procedural violations and ingredient non-compliance. During a meeting with the IX Commission of the House of Representatives, the possibility of imposing stricter sanctions for serious violations, including complete shutdowns and delayed incentives, was discussed.
