Positive Business Signals: Apindo Confident in Indonesia's Economic Acceleration in 2026

Indonesia’s economic community expresses confidence that 2026 will be more successful than 2025. The Indonesian Employers Association (Apindo) forecasts economic growth at 5.0-5.4%, despite the challenges of the transition period related to political and economic shifts in 2025. Business optimism is a key indicator of the country’s economic health, and Apindo emphasizes the importance of business confidence and macroeconomic stability. According to the Head of Apindo’s Sectoral Policy, Ajib Hamdani, business confidence is beginning to rise, leading to increased investments and business expansion. He points out that Indonesia, with a population of 280 million, has great economic potential. The key factors for investment are policy certainty and transparency. In 2025, about 40% of businesses did not expand due to uncertainty. However, given the current favorable conditions, 2026 is expected to be a year of economic growth. Apindo strongly advocates for supporting the real sector and boosting consumer purchasing power.
