Indonesian Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa emphasized that Indonesia must aim for an economic growth rate between 6% and 8% to facilitate job creation for university graduates. Speaking at the commencement ceremony at the University of Indonesia, he highlighted that while the current growth rate of 5% is acceptable, it falls short amid global economic fluctuations. He stressed the importance of skilled youth in driving the country’s economic development and mentioned the role of a 150 trillion IDR educational endowment fund, which can be leveraged to enhance higher education levels across the nation.
