Vibrant Lunar New Year Celebration at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport

At I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali, Indonesia, a vibrant celebration of the Lunar New Year took place. To mark this occasion, the airport was adorned with thematic decorations, and passengers were greeted with barongsai performances—a traditional Chinese lion dance. These events were held in four sessions across different terminal zones, allowing all passengers to enjoy the spectacle. One of the airport’s managers, Purna Irawan, emphasized that this event aimed to enhance the customer experience and support cultural diversity. As a key tourism hub, Bali’s airport actively contributed to showcasing Indonesia’s cultural richness to visitors. To strengthen the festive atmosphere, organizers distributed mandarin oranges, symbolizing luck and prosperity. The airport also installed decorations reflecting the Year of the Fire Horse, to emphasize the energetic and dynamic nature of the events.
