Indonesia's Fisheries Product Exports: Growth and Key Markets
In 2025, Indonesia’s fisheries product exports reached USD 6.27 billion, approximately IDR 105.5 trillion at an exchange rate of IDR 16,823 per USD. This represents an increase of 5.2% compared to the previous year. The largest market remains the USA, accounting for 31.8% of total exports. Other significant markets include China, ASEAN countries, Japan, and the European Union.
Key export commodities include shrimp, tuna, squid, crabs, and seaweed. It’s noteworthy that the Indonesian government is also actively working on reducing imports of fisheries products, which helps improve the net trade balance.
Indonesia continues to showcase its strong position in the global fisheries market, supported by steady export growth and improved trade balance. This is crucial not only for the country’s economy but also for ensuring the sustainable development of the fisheries sector.
