Garut Regent Encourages Uniga Graduates to Defend the Nation
On Saturday, February 14, 2026, during the graduation ceremony at the University of Garut (Uniga), Garut Regent Abdusy Syakur Amin encouraged recent graduates to maintain and nurture the spirit of patriotism. According to him, young professionals should leverage their knowledge and expertise for the betterment of the nation, particularly advancing the Garut region, West Java. He emphasized that defending the country does not necessarily mean military service. By contributing societally and reinforcing national identity, everyone plays a role in upholding the nation’s honor and resilience. Uniga’s Rector, Irfan Nabhani, also highlighted the importance of combining faith, knowledge, and action, ensuring graduates remain competent and well-integrated into society.
