School Building Ornaments Collapse in Denpasar

An incident at SMA Negeri 4 in Denpasar resulted in the collapse of building ornaments, sparking panic among students and teachers. This occurred on Monday at 3:30 PM when pieces of concrete and other materials suddenly fell, blocking walkways and parking spaces. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, though several motorcycles were damaged. The Department of Education and other agencies have launched inspections to determine the cause of the incident. It is suspected to be due to construction deficiencies, as the building is relatively new, built in 2021. Meanwhile, the education minister emphasized the need for stringent oversight of school construction projects. Classes continue, but safety measures are being enforced.
