Last Sunday, a serious accident occurred at kilometer 354 of the Batang-Semarang toll road. The incident occurred near the village of Karanggeneng, resulting in one fatality and five injuries. The Batang District Police are investigating the causes and circumstances of the accident. Preliminary reports suggest that an iron load carried by a trailer truck fell onto the road, leading to a collision with the vehicles behind—a minivan and a sedan. The truck’s iron load collided with these two vehicles, causing significant damage to their bodies. The Batang city police unit is conducting evacuation efforts and ensuring safety at the scene.
